Answer Engine Optimization gets your business into featured snippets, People Also Ask, and the voice assistants that read a single result aloud. Start with an AI Search Readiness Audit. ### Questions and answers **How is AEO different from traditional SEO?** Classic SEO competes for a position in a list of ten links. AEO competes for the box above that list, where one source gets quoted and everyone else gets nothing. The groundwork overlaps, but answer engines reward plain phrasing and explicit structure in a way that ranking alone does not, so we track and report the two separately. **Which surfaces does AEO actually cover?** Featured snippets and People Also Ask on Google, the answer box on Bing, and the voice assistants that read a single result aloud. The test is simple: if a query returns one boxed or spoken answer instead of a page of links, that is an answer engine and it is in scope. **Do I need new content, or can you work with what I already have?** Usually the page already exists and simply buries the answer four paragraphs down. Most early wins come from restructuring what you have, turning a heading into the question people actually type and putting a direct answer immediately beneath it. New content comes later, for questions you have never covered at all. **How long before an answer slot changes hands?** Schema and structural changes are usually recrawled within a few weeks, and snippet ownership can flip in that window. Competitive questions take longer and can flip back, which is why the retainer includes a monthly pass rather than treating the work as finished. **How do you know whether it worked?** We count the questions you own. Each month you get the list of snippets and People Also Ask slots you hold, the ones a competitor took back, and the ones still unclaimed. That is a countable number, reported apart from keyword rank so a ranking change cannot be mistaken for an answer-engine win. ## AI Solutions & Automation URL: https://andpixels.com/ai-solutions Smart AI solutions and integrations that automate processes and enhance user experiences. Custom AI models, NLP, and process automation. ### Questions and answers **How is AI different from traditional automation?** Traditional automation follows fixed rules and workflows. AI learns from data and adapts over time, allowing it to handle complex, variable scenarios. AI systems can understand context, make decisions without explicit programming, and improve with more data. **What data do we need to train a custom AI model?** The amount varies by use case. For most projects, we need 500-5,000 high-quality examples to start. More data generally means better performance. We work with you to gather, clean, and label data appropriately while ensuring privacy and compliance. **How long does it take to implement AI solutions?** Simple integrations like chatbots can be deployed in 2-4 weeks. Custom machine learning models typically take 6-12 weeks, depending on data availability and complexity. We provide ongoing optimization to improve accuracy and performance. **What are the ongoing costs of AI solutions?** Costs depend on usage, API calls, and model complexity. AI chatbots start at $300/month, semantic search at $800/month, and content automation at $600/month. Custom solutions are priced individually based on your specific requirements and scale. **How do you handle data privacy and security with AI?** We follow industry best practices including data encryption, secure API endpoints, and compliance with GDPR and CCPA. Data can be processed on your own servers, and we implement access controls to protect sensitive information. **Can AI integrate with our existing systems?** Yes, we specialize in AI integrations with existing platforms. Whether you use Salesforce, HubSpot, custom databases, or APIs, we can connect AI solutions seamlessly. Integration costs start at $2,500 per API. ## &Co. White-Label Services for Agencies URL: https://andpixels.com/andco &Co. is the white-label arm of &Pixels for agencies: web development, UI/UX design, AI automation, and SEO. You shine, we ghost. ### Questions and answers **What is white-label development?** White-label means we do the work under your brand. Your clients never know we exist. You get full credit, present deliverables as yours, and we handle design, development, and delivery behind the scenes. **Do you work with marketing agencies?** Yes. We work with digital, marketing, and full-service agencies. We handle web development, UI/UX design, AI automation, SEO, and more. NDA-first. Zero client contact. **How does pricing work?** We offer project-based and subscription pricing. Subscriptions start at $3,000/month for ongoing capacity. Project work is quoted by scope. We can align with your agency margin structure. **Will my clients ever interact with you?** No. We stay in the background. You manage client communication, timelines, and presentations. We deliver work to you for handoff. Zero ego, zero client contact. **What if we need to scale quickly?** Our subscription model gives you ongoing capacity. You can queue tasks, run sprints, and scale up or down. We handle tight deadlines and scope creep so you can close bigger deals. ## Austin Design & Development Agency URL: https://andpixels.com/austin &Pixels is an Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned design and development agency: UX, web and SaaS engineering, AI, and white-label for agencies. ### Questions and answers **Is &Pixels actually based in Austin?** Yes. We are an Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned design and development agency, and the senior team is here. Same time zone, same working hours. When a project needs a real meeting, we can be in the room for it. We work with clients outside Texas too, so Austin is where we are rather than a limit on who we take on. **What does &Pixels actually do?** UX design and research. Web and SaaS builds. Mobile apps. AI integration. Ecommerce. Search work, covering SEO, AEO and GEO. The same senior people run your project from the first call to launch. You will not be sold by the owner and then handed to a junior team. That is the most common complaint we hear about the last agency. **Are you a veteran-owned business?** Yes, a certified Disabled Veteran-Owned business. Some Texas companies and public agencies have to track how much they spend with diverse suppliers. For those buyers, the certification can matter as much as the work does. If your team needs the paperwork, ask and we will send it. **Do you work with Austin startups?** Yes, at every stage from first MVP to post-raise growth. We scope the work to where you actually are, not to where a template says you should be. You can pause it or resize it as funding and plans change. That beats a fixed bid written before anyone knows what the product needs to be. **Can we meet in person?** Yes. Kickoffs, design workshops and user interviews all go better in a room. We will come to you anywhere in the Austin area. The rest runs fine over video. Most projects settle into a mix: a few sessions in person, weekly check-ins online. **How do you charge?** Scope first, price second. We quote after discovery, not before. A number given before anyone has read what you need is a guess, and someone always eats the difference. Some work suits a fixed price. Some suits ongoing monthly hours. We also run separate design and development subscriptions for teams who need a steady stream of work. The pricing page has the options. **How long does a project take?** A marketing site is usually four to eight weeks. A SaaS product or a complex web app runs three months or more. What moves that number is how many other systems it has to talk to, and how settled you are on what it should do. We give you a date after discovery, not before. **How is this different from the other Austin agencies?** Three things. First, the people who pitch you are the people who build it. Second, we ship our own products through &Pixels Labs, so we live with our own engineering choices instead of handing them over at launch. Third, we run Unvibed, which cleans up AI-generated code. It exists because we spend a lot of time fixing work that shipped fast and aged badly. **What is the fastest way to find out if you can help?** Run the free website audit. It checks speed, SEO, accessibility and security. It takes about a minute and gives you a ranked list of fixes, whether or not you ever talk to us. Most of our Austin conversations start there instead of with a sales call. ## Ship Happens: Notes from the Build Trenches URL: https://andpixels.com/blog Notes from the build trenches. Design, development, process, and how we ship at &Pixels. ## Business Consulting & Strategy Services URL: https://andpixels.com/business-services Comprehensive business solutions from consulting to process optimization. Digital transformation and strategic planning. ### Questions and answers **What's the difference between consulting and implementation?** Consulting involves analysis, recommendations, and strategy. Implementation executes those strategies and makes the actual changes. We offer both - we'll advise you on the best path and then help build the solution. **How do you approach process optimization?** We start with process mapping to understand current workflows. We identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then recommend improvements. We implement changes gradually so your team can adapt, and we measure impact with clear metrics. **How long does a digital transformation take?** Digital transformation is a journey, typically 6-24 months depending on complexity and organizational readiness. We break it into phases with quick wins early to build momentum while working toward larger strategic changes. **Do you help with change management?** Yes, we recognize that technology is only part of the solution. We help train your teams, manage resistance to change, and ensure adoption. Change management support increases success rates significantly. **Can you work with our internal teams?** Absolutely. We often partner with internal teams rather than replace them. We transfer knowledge through training and documentation so your team can maintain and evolve solutions long-term. **How do you measure success?** We establish clear KPIs at the start - whether that's cost reduction, efficiency improvements, revenue growth, or customer satisfaction. We track progress regularly and adjust strategies based on real data. ## Contact Us | Get in Touch URL: https://andpixels.com/contact Ready to start your project? Contact &Pixels for UX design, development, and digital solutions. Based in Austin, TX. ## Technical Debt Cleanup URL: https://andpixels.com/debt-cleanup Reduce technical debt and modernize your codebase. Refactoring, migration, and sustainable development. ### Questions and answers **What counts as technical debt?** Technical debt includes outdated dependencies, inconsistent code patterns, poor performance, security gaps, and design inconsistencies. It's the cost of past shortcuts or changing requirements—we help you pay it down so the codebase is maintainable again. **How do you prioritize what to fix first?** We audit your codebase and rank issues by impact and risk. We focus on security and stability first, then performance and maintainability. You get a clear roadmap so you can tackle debt in phases that fit your budget. **Will you rewrite everything or refactor in place?** We prefer refactoring in place where possible to reduce risk and cost. We replace only what's faster and safer to rebuild. You get a plan with clear reasoning for each recommendation. **How long does debt cleanup take?** It depends on scope. A focused cleanup of one area might take 2-4 weeks. A full codebase modernization can take 2-4 months. We work in sprints so you see progress and can adjust scope as you go. **Can you work alongside our team?** Yes. We often pair with internal or external developers. We agree on ownership and handoffs so the cleaned-up code fits with how your team works and who maintains it long-term. **What do we get when you're done?** You get a cleaner codebase, updated dependencies, better performance, and documentation of what changed and why. We also recommend practices to avoid debt building up again. ## Design Systems & Component Libraries URL: https://andpixels.com/design-systems Comprehensive design systems that ensure consistency and efficiency. Figma libraries, code components, and documentation. ### Questions and answers **What is a design system and why do we need one?** A design system is a comprehensive library of reusable components, design tokens, and guidelines that ensure consistency across all products and touchpoints. It reduces design debt, speeds up development, and creates a unified brand experience. **How long does it take to build a design system?** Building a design system typically takes 3-6 months depending on complexity and scope. We start with an audit of your existing designs, then create components, establish patterns, and document everything for team adoption. **Can a design system work with our existing codebase?** Absolutely. We can integrate design systems with your existing technology stack. Whether you use React, Vue, or Angular, we build components that work seamlessly with your current infrastructure. **How do you maintain and update the design system?** We provide documentation and training for your team to maintain the system. We recommend quarterly reviews and updates as your product evolves, with a dedicated person or small team managing versioning and communications. **Will a design system slow down our team initially?** There may be a small learning curve, but most teams see 30-40% faster design and development within 2-3 months of adoption. The upfront investment pays off quickly through reduced rework and faster feature shipping. **Do you provide training for our design and development teams?** Yes, we provide comprehensive training sessions and documentation. We work with your teams to ensure they understand how to use components, tokens, and contribute to the system as it evolves. ## Design & Development Subscription as a Service URL: https://andpixels.com/design-development-subscription-as-a-service Ship every sprint with an Austin-based design and development subscription. Choose design, development, or both, and scale from Starter to Partner. ### Questions and answers **What's the difference between Design, Development, and Design + Development subscriptions?** Design is UX strategy, research, wireframes, prototypes, and design specs. Development is frontend, backend, and full-stack engineering. Design + Development is both, running in parallel under one team. D+D is our most popular because it removes the handoff friction between designers and developers. **Why is Design + Development double the monthly hours?** Because you're getting two disciplines running at the same time, not one team doing twice the work. A Design + Development Builder at 120 hours per month is 60 hours of design and 60 hours of development, at the same $75/hr as a single service. **What's included at each tier (Starter, Builder, Partner, Dedicated Team)?** Starter: weekly check-in, standard sprint turnaround Builder: twice-weekly check-ins, priority queue, 72-hour concept turnaround Partner: daily standups, SLA-backed response times, 48-hour concept turnaround, quarterly strategy reviews Dedicated Team: scope, staffing, and SLAs negotiated per engagement **How much can I save with longer billing cadences?** Quarterly is 15% off monthly. Annual is 30% off monthly. Annual also unlocks quarterly strategy reviews and priority roadmap scheduling. **Can I change tiers or switch services mid-subscription?** Yes. Upgrades apply on the next invoice with proration. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle boundary so you finish what you've already paid for. **What happens to unused hours?** They can roll into the next billing period, but you have to arrange it: tell us in writing at least 14 days before that period starts, and we agree how to use them in sprint planning. There is no cap on how many. Hours that are not planned that way are forfeited at the end of the period, and any rollover hours are forfeited if you pause or cancel. **Can I add a design system to my subscription?** Yes. At checkout, select Design System - Figma ($8,000) or Design System - Figma + Code ($16,000) as a one-time add-on. Both are delivered in 3 to 6 sprints. You can also buy either standalone without a subscription. **How fast can you start?** Standard kickoff is 1 to 2 weeks from subscription start. Rush starts within 48 hours are available for an additional fee. ## Web Development | Frontend, Backend & Full-Stack URL: https://andpixels.com/development Expert frontend, backend, and full-stack development. React, Node.js, cloud infrastructure, and performance optimization. ### Questions and answers **What programming languages and frameworks do you specialize in?** We work with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Angular for frontend development. On the backend, we specialize in Node.js, Python, and Go. We use databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, along with cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. **How long does a typical development project take?** Project timelines vary based on complexity and scope. A simple website might take 4-6 weeks, while a custom SaaS application could take 3-6 months. We work in two-week sprints and provide regular progress updates so you can see results incrementally. **Do you provide ongoing maintenance and support after launch?** Yes, we offer maintenance and hosting services starting at $750/month. This includes server management, security updates, performance monitoring, and technical support to keep your application running smoothly. **Can you integrate third-party APIs and services into our platform?** Absolutely. We specialize in API integrations across payment processors, CRM systems, analytics tools, and other services. Each integration is $2,500 and tailored to your specific business needs. **What is your approach to code quality and testing?** We follow best practices including unit testing, integration testing, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Our code is clean, well-documented, and uses TypeScript for type safety. We conduct code reviews and performance optimization to ensure your application is production-ready. **How do you ensure the application can handle growth and scaling?** We design with scalability in mind from day one. We implement caching strategies, database optimization, cloud infrastructure that auto-scales, and DevOps practices like containerization with Docker. Performance testing ensures your app handles traffic spikes. ## eCommerce & POS Solutions URL: https://andpixels.com/ecommerce-and-pos Complete e-commerce solutions with integrated point-of-sale systems. Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom development. ### Questions and answers **What payment methods should we accept?** Accept at least credit/debit cards and PayPal. Modern stores also offer Apple Pay, Google Pay, and alternative payment methods like Buy Now Pay Later. We recommend starting with major cards and PayPal, then expanding based on customer demand. **How secure is our customer payment data?** We ensure PCI DSS compliance, use SSL encryption, tokenize payment data, and never store sensitive card information on our servers. We use trusted payment processors like Stripe who handle security and compliance. **Can we sell on multiple platforms simultaneously?** Yes, we can integrate your inventory across your website, Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and other marketplaces. This gives you centralized inventory management and order fulfillment across all channels. **How do we manage inventory across channels?** We implement real-time inventory sync so stock updates instantly across all platforms. This prevents overselling and keeps customers accurate on availability, reducing returns and complaints. **What about shipping and fulfillment?** We integrate with shipping carriers like USPS, FedEx, and UPS for real-time rates and label generation. We can also integrate with fulfillment services so you focus on growth while logistics is handled. **Can we accept payments in physical stores with POS?** Yes, we integrate POS systems for in-store payments and inventory management. Your online and offline data syncs so you have a unified view of your business whether customers buy online or in-store. ## FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions URL: https://andpixels.com/faq Get answers to common questions about our services, process, pricing, and how we work with clients. ### Questions and answers ## Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) URL: https://andpixels.com/geo Show up inside the generated answer. Generative Engine Optimization gets your brand cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, with AI Share-of-Voice reporting. Start with an AI Search Readiness Audit. ### Questions and answers **How is GEO different from traditional SEO?** Ranking puts a link in a list that a person then chooses from. GEO puts your name inside an answer that has already been written for them, often with no click at all. Because these engines pick sources rather than order links, we measure citation rate instead of position, and report it separately from rank. **Can you actually influence what ChatGPT or Perplexity say?** You cannot control a model’s wording, and anyone promising a specific sentence is selling something they cannot deliver. What you can influence is whether the model can retrieve you, parse your claims correctly, and find corroboration elsewhere. Those are the inputs to being cited, and they move in aggregate even though any single answer varies. **How do you measure something that changes every time you ask?** With a fixed prompt set and repeat sampling. We run the same buying-intent prompts across each engine on a schedule and record how often you are named. One answer is noise; the rate across dozens of runs is a trend you can act on. **Does an llms.txt file help?** Not with Google, which ignores it. It costs almost nothing and a handful of crawlers read it, so we will ship one, but it is a footnote. Retrievable content, correct entity markup, and third-party corroboration are what actually move citation rates. **What if a model cites me but gets the facts wrong?** That is a retrievability problem, and it is common. Models paraphrase, so a claim that is hedged, split across three pages, or only implied gets reconstructed badly. The fix is stating the fact plainly in one place, marking up the entity so you are not confused with a similarly named company, and giving the model a corroborating source to check it against. ## Google Business Profile Management URL: https://andpixels.com/google-business-profile-management Full-service Google Business Profile management: optimization, reviews, posts, and AEO/GEO. Setup from $497, retainers from $397/mo. ### Questions and answers **Do I need a website to use this?** No. A Google Business Profile works on its own and is often the first thing customers find. If you do have a site, we make sure the two agree on the details that matter and reinforce each other. **How fast will I see results?** The optimization reset usually lands in the first week. Ranking and engagement gains build over the following weeks as activity, reviews, and freshness compound. We report on it monthly so you can see the trend, not guess at it. **What if my profile is suspended or unverified?** We handle claiming, verification, and reinstatement as part of setup. If there is a suspension to untangle, we tell you up front what it will take rather than promising it away. **Can you manage more than one location?** Yes. Multi-location and franchise profiles are part of what we do, with consistent data and reporting across every listing. Pricing scales with the number of locations and categories. **Who owns the profile?** You do, always. We work inside your account as a manager. If we ever part ways, you keep everything and we hand back clean access. ## Hosting & Maintenance URL: https://andpixels.com/hosting-and-maintenance Platform-agnostic hosting and proactive maintenance from &Pixels. We keep your product fast, secure, and always online, no matter what it's built on. ### Questions and answers **What's included in a hosting and maintenance package?** We provide 24/7 uptime monitoring, SSL management, security patches, backups, performance optimization, and technical support. Packages are tailored to your stack and traffic—from simple sites to SaaS and high-availability apps. **Do you work with any platform or only specific ones?** We're platform-agnostic. We maintain sites and apps built on WordPress, Next.js, React, Node, Laravel, or any stack. We keep your product fast, secure, and online regardless of how it's built. **How quickly do you respond to issues?** Critical issues get same-day response; many are resolved within hours. We use monitoring and alerting so we often catch and fix problems before you notice. Higher-tier packages include priority support and faster response SLAs. **Can we pause or scale our plan?** Yes. You can scale up when you need more support or resources, and pause when you don't—you retain any unused time. We adapt to your business cycle. **Do you handle updates and security patches?** Yes. We apply security updates, dependency updates, and keep your stack current. We test before deploying to avoid breaking changes and can roll back if needed. **What if our site goes down?** We monitor uptime and get alerted immediately. We diagnose and fix issues fast, restore from backup if necessary, and communicate with you until the site is stable. ## Information Architecture URL: https://andpixels.com/information-architecture Structure and organize content for clarity and findability. Sitemaps, taxonomies, and user-centered IA. ### Questions and answers **What is information architecture (IA)?** Information architecture is the structural design of information environments. It's about organizing content and features in a way that makes sense to users. Good IA makes it easy for users to find information and accomplish their goals. **Why does IA matter for product success?** Poor IA frustrates users and leads to low engagement and high bounce rates. Good IA reduces cognitive load, helps users find what they need faster, and improves conversion rates. It's often the invisible foundation of great user experience. **What's card sorting and when do we use it?** Card sorting is a research method where users group content into categories and label them. We use it to understand how users naturally organize information, which informs your IA structure. It's especially useful for large content-heavy products. **Can IA help improve navigation?** Absolutely. IA and navigation design are closely related. Strong IA creates a clear hierarchy that navigation can reflect. Good navigation makes users' mental model of your IA visible and helps them navigate intuitively. **How long does IA work take?** Simple IA projects take 2-4 weeks. Complex products with lots of content take 4-8 weeks. This includes research, concept development, testing, and documentation. We iterate based on user feedback until we get it right. **Do you help implement IA changes?** Yes, we provide detailed sitemaps, wireframes, and specifications that guide design and development. We also support implementation to ensure your IA vision is correctly translated into the actual product. ## &Pixels Labs: Digital Products We Build & Ship URL: https://andpixels.com/labs &Pixels Labs is where the &Pixels team builds standalone digital products. SEO, SEM, social media marketing, PPC campaigns, and analytics. ### Questions and answers **How long before we see results from marketing campaigns?** SEO results typically take 3-6 months, PPC can drive traffic immediately, and content marketing builds momentum over 3-12 months. We provide detailed reporting and adjust strategies based on performance data. **What's the difference between SEO and SEM?** SEO (Search Engine Optimization) focuses on organic rankings through content and technical improvements. SEM (Search Engine Marketing) includes paid ads like Google Ads. Both work together - organic gets long-term traffic, paid gets immediate visibility. **How much should we spend on marketing?** Marketing spend depends on your goals, industry, and competition. We typically recommend 5-10% of revenue, but startups may allocate more for growth. We help determine a realistic budget based on your target metrics. **Which marketing channels should we focus on?** It depends on your audience. B2B companies often benefit from LinkedIn and content marketing. B2C companies see success with social media and Google ads. We conduct audience research to recommend the right channels for your business. **How do you measure marketing ROI?** We track key metrics like cost per acquisition, conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and revenue. We set up proper analytics and use data to optimize campaigns continuously, showing clear ROI on your marketing investment. **Can you help with content creation?** Yes, we create blog posts, videos, infographics, social media content, and email campaigns. Our content is SEO-optimized and designed to engage your target audience and drive conversions. ## Mobile App Development | iOS & Android URL: https://andpixels.com/mobile-apps Native and cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. React Native, Flutter, and native development. ### Questions and answers **Should we build native or cross-platform apps?** Native apps (iOS/Android) offer best performance and platform-specific features. Cross-platform (React Native/Flutter) lets you share code and launch faster. We recommend native for performance-critical apps or if you need platform-specific features, and cross-platform for MVP or budget constraints. **What does the app development timeline look like?** Simple apps take 3-4 months, medium complexity apps take 4-6 months, and complex apps with backend systems take 6-12 months. We work in 2-week sprints so you see progress and can provide feedback throughout development. **How do you ensure the app works smoothly on all devices?** We test extensively across multiple devices and operating system versions. We use automated testing, manual testing on real devices, and performance optimization to ensure smooth functionality across the spectrum of devices your users will have. **What about app store submission and reviews?** We handle all aspects of app store submission including preparing assets, writing descriptions, and addressing app store guidelines. We guide you through the review process and manage any required revisions to get your app approved. **Do you provide post-launch support and updates?** Yes, we provide ongoing maintenance and support starting at $1,500/month. Scope, subprocessors, and responsibilities are defined up front so engineering and design match the agreement. **Can you integrate with EHRs or FHIR APIs?** Yes, we can build FHIR-oriented integrations, implement SMART on FHIR patterns where appropriate, and bridge to legacy HL7 where your stack still relies on it. We scope realistic timelines because clinical integrations rarely behave like generic REST tutorials. **How do you approach HIPAA-aware engineering?** We default to least-privilege access, encryption in transit, strong authentication, audit-friendly logging, and clear separation of environments. Exact controls depend on your risk analysis, hosting choices, and whether you are the covered entity or a vendor. **How do you research stressed patients and busy clinicians?** We combine interviews, contextual inquiry, and workflow observation (live or remote) with accessibility and health literacy review. The goal is behavior-grounded design, not assumptions from a conference room. **What about accessibility for healthcare products?** We design and build toward WCAG 2.1 AA for the UI we ship, with documented focus order, labels, and contrast. Validation with assistive tech and your compliance partners closes the loop. **What happens after go-live?** We can stay on for monitoring, incident-ready support on agreed terms, release trains for clinical changes, and continuous improvement tied to analytics and feedback from the field. ## SaaS Product Partner | Strategy, UX & Engineering URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/saas Your SaaS partner from MVP to scale: product strategy, retention-focused UX, full-stack engineering, and growth optimization, built for founders. ### Questions and answers **Can you work with pre-seed founders or only funded companies?** Both. The engagement model adapts to your stage, runway, and timeline. **Can you build multi-tenant architecture and B2B SaaS plumbing?** Yes, Multi-tenancy, role-based access control, organization and team models, billing and subscription management, audit logging, and admin platforms are all in scope. We architect for scale up front so you do not refactor it under load later. **How do you think about onboarding, activation, and trial-to-paid conversion?** We treat onboarding as the most important screen in the product. We design for the shortest path to the first aha moment, instrument it, then iterate based on activation and trial-conversion data instead of opinion. **Can you integrate with Stripe, Auth0, Clerk, Segment, and the SaaS toolkit?** Yes, we use Stripe for billing, Clerk and Auth0 for auth, Segment and PostHog for analytics, and the rest of the modern SaaS stack as needed. We pick tools based on your team and roadmap, not based on what was trendy last quarter. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. SaaS engagements run in two-week sprints with embedded standups, shared Slack, async updates, and weekly demos. You see progress every week, not at a six-week reveal. ## FinTech Product Design & Compliance UX URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/fintech We design and build financial platforms with clarity-first UX, security-minded engineering, payment and banking APIs, KYC flows, and compliance. ### Questions and answers **How do you approach SOC 2, PCI, and security-aware engineering?** We default to least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, strong authentication, audit-friendly logging, and clear separation of environments. We coordinate with your security and compliance team early so design and engineering decisions match the audit posture, not fight it. **Can you integrate with banking, payment, and KYC providers?** Yes, we can integrate with Stripe, Plaid, Persona, Alloy, and a range of card-issuer and banking-as-a-service platforms. We scope the integration work up front because compliance-aware integrations rarely match the happy path in the docs. **Can you design for users who are stressed about money?** Yes, Financial UX is emotional UX. We research how your users think about, interact with, and panic about their finances, then design flows that build confidence: clear language, predictable confirmations, no surprise fees buried in modal copy. **How do you handle KYC, onboarding, and consent flows?** We design onboarding that meets your KYC and AML requirements without making the user feel interrogated: progressive disclosure, clear copy on what is being collected and why, and graceful failure handling when documents or addresses do not match. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Fintech engagements run in two-week sprints with compliance-aware review folded into the feedback loop, not bolted on as a panic pass before launch. ## Education & Learning Platform Design & Development URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/education We design and build education platforms with pedagogy-aware UX, accessible interfaces, LTI integrations, and full-stack architecture for learners. ### Questions and answers **Can you design for accessibility and WCAG compliance?** Yes, we design and build toward WCAG 2.1 AA for the UI we ship, with documented focus order, semantic structure, color contrast, and keyboard parity. Validation with assistive tech is part of the process. Education users include learners with disabilities, and we treat that as a product requirement. **Can you integrate with LMS platforms, LTI, Zoom, Stripe, or SSO?** Yes, we can build LTI 1.3 integrations with major LMS platforms, Zoom and Whereby live-class flows, Stripe subscription and per-course billing, and SSO via Google Workspace, Microsoft, and Okta. Multi-tenant and white-label architectures are also in scope. **How do you research learners, instructors, and admins together?** We treat each as a distinct persona with conflicting needs: learners want frictionless engagement, instructors want efficient course management, admins want oversight and data. We map workflows for each, then design interactions that resolve the trade-offs intentionally rather than by accident. **Can you handle high-traffic events like orientation week or course launches?** Yes, we architect for predictable traffic spikes, load test before launch, and stage releases away from your highest-stakes windows. Monitoring and incident response coverage depend on the agreed plan. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Education projects often align to academic calendars; we plan launches around terms, semesters, and orientation windows so go-live does not collide with your busiest moments. ## Energy Sector Product Design and Development URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/energy We design and build digital platforms for energy companies: operator and field workflows, investor storytelling, and standout marketing sites. ### Questions and answers **Can you design for both technical and investor audiences on the same site?** Yes, we design site architecture and content strategies that let each audience self-segment without diluting the message for the other. Engineers and field crews get the specs they need, while investors and the public get the story and the data. **Can you build field and operations platforms that work on tablets and offline?** Yes, we design and build inspection workflows, equipment tracking, safety compliance dashboards, and reporting tools tuned for tablet form factors and intermittent connectivity. We test on the devices your field teams actually carry. **Can you help with employer brand and engineering recruitment?** Yes, we design careers experiences, day-in-the-life storytelling, and apply flows tuned for the engineers, operators, and skilled trades the energy sector competes for. The bar is set by tech-sector employers, and we design accordingly. **Can you work with both traditional energy and renewables companies?** Yes, we tune voice, positioning, and audience modeling per company, not per sector cliche. Whether you are upstream, midstream, downstream, or renewables, we tailor the digital strategy to your specific market and audience. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Energy engagements run in two-week sprints with embedded standups, shared Slack, and weekly demos so your team sees progress between releases. ## Agriculture and Food Processing Product Design URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/agriculture We design and build digital platforms for farms, food processors, and agtech: brand and lead-gen sites, D2C commerce, and FSMA-aware tools. ### Questions and answers **Can you build platforms that account for FSMA, HACCP, and food traceability requirements?** Yes, we can design operations and documentation tools that account for FSMA recordkeeping, HACCP plan structure, and lot-to-lot traceability. Exact controls depend on your facility scope, audit posture, and whether your team or ours owns the compliance content. We align on requirements before kickoff. **Can you build direct-to-consumer commerce for ranches, farms, and processors?** Yes, we design D2C experiences that handle subscription boxes, bulk and wholesale orders, cold-chain shipping windows, and post-purchase tracking. Stripe, Shopify, and headless storefronts are all in scope; we pick what fits your inventory model. **How do you design for users with poor connectivity in the field?** Mobile-first, offline-capable patterns when the workflow demands it: cached forms, queued sync, large tap targets, and minimal media on slow networks. We test on the actual devices your operators carry, not just designer laptops. **Can you integrate with our existing ERP, telemetry, or processing systems?** Yes, we integrate with ag ERPs, sensor and telemetry platforms, processing-line systems, and accounting tools. We scope realistic timelines because industrial integrations rarely behave like generic REST documentation. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. A typical agriculture engagement runs in two-week sprints with embedded standups, shared Slack, and weekly demos. We do not disappear and come back with a reveal. ## Construction & Real Estate Digital Product Design URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/construction We design and build websites, operations platforms, property listings, tenant portals, and lead-gen systems for construction and real estate. ### Questions and answers **Can you build subcontractor portals, bid management, and inspection tracking?** Yes, we design and build operations platforms for GCs, developers, and trade contractors: bid management, subcontractor portals, inspection and punch-list tracking, document control, and progress reporting. Each piece is scoped against the workflows your PMs actually run. **Can you integrate with Procore, BuilderTrend, AppFolio, or similar?** Yes, we can integrate with construction-management and property-management platforms, plus accounting tools like QuickBooks. Where the API is missing, we build custom bridges and webhooks so your data does not get re-entered by hand. **Can you design property listing experiences for brokerages and property managers?** Yes, we design listing UX with map-based search, faceted filters, virtual tour integrations, and lead routing. For property managers we build tenant portals that handle leases, maintenance requests, and payments without the back-and-forth. **How do you handle mobile-first design for jobsite users?** Field-first patterns: large tap targets, photo upload from the camera, offline-tolerant forms, and minimal data entry. We test on the phones your superintendents and PMs actually carry, in the conditions they actually work in. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Engagements run in two-week sprints with weekly demos and shared Slack so your PMs and ops leads see progress between standups. ## Automotive and Powersports Product Design URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/automotive We design and build digital platforms for dealerships, powersports, and aftermarket brands: VDP and inventory UX, parts and fitment, and service booking. ### Questions and answers **Can you integrate with our DMS, CRM, and inventory feeds?** Yes, we can build sites and portals that integrate with dealer management systems, automotive CRMs, and inventory feed providers. Search performance is treated as a product requirement, not an afterthought. **Can you replace or work alongside our DMS-template website?** Both. We can build a fully custom site that pulls inventory through your existing DMS feed, or we can layer custom landing pages, lead funnels, and brand experiences on top of a DMS-hosted site. The right answer depends on your contract and roadmap. **How do you approach lead capture for high-intent automotive shoppers?** Short forms, mobile-first design, click-to-call and SMS handoffs, and routing that lands the lead in your CRM with the right source, vehicle, and salesperson assignment in seconds. We measure form completion and time-to-first-response from the start. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Most dealership and powersports engagements run in two-week sprints with weekly demos so your sales and ops teams see progress in real time. ## Professional Services Web Design and Development URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/professional-services We design and build digital platforms for law firms, accounting practices, and consultancies: authority-building sites, secure client portals, and SEO. ### Questions and answers **Can you design for the trust-based buyer journey of law, accounting, and consulting firms?** Yes, professional services buyers are evaluating credibility, expertise, and fit, not just features. We design site architecture, attorney and consultant bios, practice-area pages, and content that helps prospects self-qualify and arrive at the consultation already convinced. **Can you build secure client portals with document management and case tracking?** Yes, Secure document and matter portals, engagement progress tracking, invoice and payment self-service, and permissioned messaging with your team are all in scope. We design for the security expectations of clients in regulated practices. **Can you integrate with Clio, Salesforce, HubSpot, and the professional-services stack?** Yes, we can integrate with major practice-management, CRM, marketing automation, and billing platforms used in law, accounting, and consulting. Where the API is thin, we build custom bridges so your data stops being re-entered by hand. **Can you help with thought leadership and SEO content programs?** Yes, we design and build editorial systems, SEO-aware information architecture, resource libraries, and webinar hubs. Professional services engagements run in two-week sprints with weekly demos so your partners and marketing leads see progress between releases. ## Hospitality and F&B Product Design and Development URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/hospitality We design and build websites, online ordering, and reservation platforms for restaurants, hotels, event spaces, and breweries, with POS integrations. ### Questions and answers **Can you integrate with our POS, reservation, and ordering platforms?** Yes, we integrate with Toast, Square, Clover, OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Olo, and the major event-management and venue-booking platforms. Where a native API is thin, we build custom bridges so your front-of-house and back-office systems stay in sync. **Can you build native ordering and reservation flows, or do you rely on third-party widgets?** Yes, we can do either depending on margin and brand control. Native flows give you a better experience and lower per-transaction cost; third-party widgets ship faster. We help you decide based on volume, brand stakes, and your tech roadmap. **Can you design event venue and catering platforms?** Yes, we design venue platforms with floorplan and capacity visualization, inquiry and hold workflows, calendar and availability management, and vendor coordination. The goal is a site that works like a 24/7 event coordinator. **How do you design for hospitality brands where the vibe matters as much as the function?** Brand-first art direction, photography that earns the scroll, typography and pacing tuned to the space, and interactions that get out of the way. Hospitality sites lose if they feel like a chore. We design them to feel like the room. **How fast can we get started?** Initial concepts within 72 hours on scoped work. Most hospitality engagements run in two-week sprints with weekly demos so seasonal launches, menu changes, and event windows do not catch the site off-guard. ## MRO and Industrial Supply Product Design URL: https://andpixels.com/industries/mro We design and build digital platforms for MRO distributors and industrial suppliers: industrial e-commerce, technical catalogs, and ERP integration. ### Questions and answers **Can you build industrial e-commerce with thousands of SKUs and customer-specific pricing?** Yes, Catalog UX with technical specs and faceted filters, cross-reference and OEM lookups, customer-specific contracted pricing, account-tier ordering, and PO-based purchasing are all in scope. We architect for catalog complexity from the start. **Can you integrate with our ERP, inventory, pricing engine, and shipping providers?** Yes, we can integrate with distribution ERPs, inventory management systems, pricing engines, and shipping providers. We take AI built or rushed prototypes and turn them into stable, maintainable, production ready experiences. **When is the right time for Unvibe?** When prototypes somehow became 'the real thing,' you have real users or revenue, and your team is nervous about breaking everything with each change. **What happens during an Unvibe engagement?** We start with an audit, identify risks and tech debt, then refactor, rewrite, and redesign what matters most. That includes architecture, UX, performance, and reliability. **Can you work with our existing dev team?** Yes. We often pair with internal or external teams. We agree on ownership, communication, and handoffs so the cleanup and future work fit together. **Will you replace all our existing code?** Not by default. We keep what is solid, fix what is risky, and replace what is faster and safer to rebuild. You get a clear plan and reasoning for each decision. **How do you measure success for Unvibe work?** We look at fewer bugs, better performance, cleaner UX, happier engineers, and a codebase that your team can change without fear. In short, less chaos and more confidence. ## UX Design Services: Research-Backed Product Design URL: https://andpixels.com/ux-design User experience design that puts people first. Research, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems. ### Questions and answers **What's the difference between wireframes and prototypes?** Wireframes are low-fidelity layouts focusing on structure and functionality. Prototypes are interactive and high-fidelity, simulating the final user experience. Wireframes help us plan quickly; prototypes validate interactions before development. **Do you create designs in Figma?** Yes, we design in Figma and provide you with editable files. Figma makes collaboration easy—you can see designs in real-time, leave comments, and iterate together. We also provide exported assets for development. **How involved are stakeholders in the design process?** Very involved. We hold kickoff meetings, present designs for feedback at key stages, and incorporate input throughout. Regular communication ensures the final design meets everyone's needs and expectations. **Can you redesign our existing product?** Absolutely. We can audit your current design, identify issues, and create an improved version. We often start with a design audit ($3,000-$5,000) to prioritize improvements that will have the biggest impact. **How long does the design phase take?** Design typically takes 4-8 weeks depending on complexity. Simple projects take 3-4 weeks, medium projects 4-6 weeks, and complex products with multiple flows take 6-8 weeks. We work in sprints with regular deliverables. **Will you support the design during development?** Yes, we provide ongoing design support during development. We answer questions, clarify specs, and make adjustments as needed to ensure the final product matches the vision. ## UX Design & Research Services URL: https://andpixels.com/ux-design-and-research User-centered design backed by research and data-driven insights. Wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and design systems. ### Questions and answers **What is the difference between UX and UI design?** UX (User Experience) focuses on how the product works and feels overall—the flows, interactions, and how easily users achieve their goals. UI (User Interface) is the visual design—colors, typography, buttons, and layout. Both are essential; great UX without good UI falls flat, and beautiful UI with poor UX frustrates users. **How is user research conducted?** We use mixed methods including interviews (1-on-1 conversations with target users), surveys (quantitative feedback from larger groups), usability testing (watching users interact with prototypes), and analytics review (understanding real behavior data). This comprehensive approach ensures decisions are user-validated. **How long does a UX design project typically take?** A full UX project from research through delivery usually takes 8-12 weeks. Discovery and research takes 2-3 weeks, design and prototyping takes 4-6 weeks, and testing/refinement takes 2-3 weeks. Simpler projects like design audits or specific flows can be completed in 3-4 weeks. **Will you test designs with real users?** Yes, usability testing is a core part of our process. We conduct moderated sessions where real users interact with your product while we observe and gather feedback. This typically involves 5-8 participants and helps identify critical issues before expensive development. **What deliverables do we receive?** You'll receive research reports, user personas, user journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, usability testing findings, and final high-fidelity designs with design specifications. All files are handed off in formats your developers need (Figma links, specs, assets). **Can you help improve an existing product's UX?** Absolutely. We conduct UX audits to evaluate current designs against best practices and user feedback. We'll provide a prioritized list of improvements, from quick wins to strategic redesigns. Many clients start with audits at $3,000 to identify high-impact changes. ## UX Research: Interviews, Testing, and Insights URL: https://andpixels.com/ux-research User research that informs design and product decisions. Interviews, testing, and insights. ### Questions and answers **How is user research conducted?** We use mixed methods including interviews (1-on-1 conversations with target users), surveys (quantitative feedback from larger groups), usability testing (watching users interact with prototypes), and analytics review (understanding real behavior data). This comprehensive approach ensures decisions are user-validated. **How many users do we need to interview?** For qualitative research like interviews, 5-10 participants is typically enough to identify major patterns. For surveys, 50-100+ responses gives better statistical confidence. We recommend starting with 5-8 interviews, then expanding based on what we learn. **How long does user research take?** A full research project takes 3-6 weeks. Planning takes 1 week, recruitment and sessions take 1-2 weeks, and analysis/synthesis takes 1-2 weeks. We can do faster turnarounds for specific questions, or expand timelines for more comprehensive research. **What are user personas and why do we need them?** User personas are detailed profiles of your target user types based on research data. They help your team stay aligned on who you're designing for, reduce assumptions, and ensure decisions are user-centered. They typically include goals, pain points, and behaviors. **Can research help validate a new product idea?** Absolutely. Research is perfect for validating ideas before investing in development. We can test your concept with target users through interviews or surveys to see if they'd actually use it, what features matter most, and what pricing they'd accept. **How do you ensure research is unbiased?** We use structured interview guides to avoid leading questions, recruit diverse participants beyond your immediate circle, and use multiple research methods so no single approach skews findings. We also involve stakeholders in observing sessions to prevent interpretation bias. ## UX Strategy: Tie Experience to Business Outcomes URL: https://andpixels.com/ux-strategy Strategic UX planning and roadmapping. Align experience with business goals. ### Questions and answers **Why do we need UX strategy before design?** UX strategy ensures your design solves real user problems and aligns with business goals. Without strategy, design becomes guesswork. Strategy provides the framework that guides all subsequent design decisions and helps teams stay aligned. **What's the difference between UX strategy and product strategy?** Product strategy covers what to build and why. UX strategy focuses on how to build it so users love it. They work together—product strategy defines the vision, UX strategy defines how to deliver that vision with great user experience. **How do you define success metrics?** We work with you to identify key metrics that matter to your business—revenue, retention, user satisfaction, etc. We tie these to UX improvements and establish baselines so you can measure the impact of design work. **How long does strategy work take?** Strategy projects typically take 4-8 weeks depending on scope. Light strategy assessments take 2-3 weeks. Comprehensive strategy with research takes 6-8 weeks. We deliver a strategic document that guides design and product decisions. **Can you help with pivot or redesign decisions?** Absolutely. If you're considering a major pivot or redesign, strategy work is critical. We'll help you understand if a pivot is the right move based on user research and market analysis, and guide the direction if you decide to proceed. **How often should we revisit strategy?** Review strategy quarterly as your product and market evolve. Major strategy updates happen yearly or when significant market changes occur. Regular small updates keep your roadmap aligned with business goals and user needs. ## Vibe Coding: Fast Iteration Without the Tech Debt URL: https://andpixels.com/vibe-coding Rapid, iterative development that keeps the vibe. Ship fast without sacrificing quality. ### Questions and answers **What is Vibe-coding?** Vibe-coding is fast, AI assisted prototyping and MVP work. We use AI, templates, and smart shortcuts to get a working version of your idea in front of real people quickly. **When should I choose Vibe instead of a full build?** Choose Vibe when you are still testing the idea, story, or feature set. It is perfect for investor demos, early user testing, and 'does anyone actually want this?' moments. **Is Vibe code production ready?** Parts of it can be, but we treat Vibe work as experiment-first. We label what is safe to keep, what needs hardening later, and what should stay in prototype land. **What do I get at the end of a Vibe project?** You get a working prototype or MVP, UX flows, core UI, and a short handoff doc that explains what we built, how it works, and what should happen next. **How long does a Vibe project usually take?** Most Vibe projects run one to four weeks, depending on scope. The goal is momentum, not perfection. **Do I need a technical team already to use Vibe?** No. We can handle everything for the prototype phase and, when you are ready, help you plan the path to a proper engineering team or an Unvibe engagement. ## Website Audit: Free & Premium URL: https://andpixels.com/website-audit See how your site performs on speed, SEO, accessibility, security, and AI search. Free eight-category scan or a human-reviewed audit from &Pixels. ### Questions and answers **What is a website audit?** A website audit is a comprehensive review of your site's health. Ours covers performance, accessibility, SEO, AEO, GEO, best practices, security, and compliance and privacy. It identifies issues and opportunities to improve user experience, search rankings, and whether AI assistants can find you. **What does the free audit include?** The free audit scores eight categories: performance, accessibility, SEO, AEO, GEO, best practices, security, and compliance and privacy. For each one you get a score out of 100 and a list of what your site already does well, plus a shareable results page emailed to you. **What are AEO and GEO, and why do they matter?** Answer Engine Optimization is whether search engines can lift a direct answer from your pages for featured snippets and People Also Ask. Generative Engine Optimization is whether AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity can understand your business well enough to recommend it. Most free audits score neither, and they are increasingly where people find businesses. **What does the premium audit include?** The premium audit includes everything in the free scan plus a human expert review of UX, code quality, content strategy, and accessibility compliance. You receive a detailed report with a prioritized action plan and a 30-minute walkthrough call. **How long does the free audit take?** About two minutes. We crawl your pages, run a real Lighthouse measurement, and score all eight categories, which takes longer than a surface-level check. The page updates on its own when it finishes, and your results are emailed to you either way. **Do you check mobile?** Yes. Mobile is not scored as a separate category, because that would suggest the rest of the audit only applies to desktop. Every category is measured on both desktop and mobile, so a problem that only shows up on a phone appears in the category it belongs to. **Who performs the premium audit?** Our senior team performs the premium audit. It is a hands-on, human review rather than just automated tools, with prioritized recommendations and a 30-minute call to walk through the findings. ## Websites: Design and Development URL: https://andpixels.com/websites Modern, responsive websites that engage users and drive conversions. Certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. ## Web Design in Pflugerville, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/pflugerville Website design, WordPress builds and local SEO for Pflugerville businesses. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Start with a free website audit. We build websites for Pflugerville businesses from seventeen miles down the road in Austin. Same day drive, same time zone, same senior team from the first call to launch. Pflugerville has roughly tripled in population since 2000, and a lot of businesses here are still running the site they built when the town was half this size. The mix skews toward home services, clinics and dental practices, trades, restaurants along the Stone Hill corridor, and warehousing near the SH-130 spine. Almost all of it is local-intent: somebody within ten miles is searching, and whoever shows up first gets the call. That makes the job less about a beautiful site and more about being the business Google shows. Fast pages, a Google Business Profile that is actually maintained, service pages that name the suburbs you cover, and reviews arriving steadily rather than in one panicked burst. This is the search that started all of this. A Pflugerville business can hold the top organic spot and still watch every click go to the three sitting in the map above it. Clinics, dental practices and the restaurants along the Stone Hill corridor run bookings and payments through it, usually with the register and the online side quietly disagreeing by the weekend. County: Travis County. Approximately 17 miles from Austin. ## Web Design & Development in Round Rock, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/round-rock Websites, web apps and SaaS development for Round Rock businesses, from enterprise suppliers to local services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Round Rock is twenty minutes from our Austin base, and it is the one Austin suburb where the work is as often B2B and technical as it is local lead generation. Round Rock has a corporate spine most suburbs do not. Dell is headquartered here, which pulls in a long tail of suppliers, contractors and B2B services who sell to enterprise buyers rather than to neighbours. There is a serious healthcare presence, and the Dell Diamond youth and minor league sports economy supports a whole set of tournament, hospitality and travel businesses on top. Selling to an enterprise procurement team is a different problem from ranking for a local search. It needs a site that survives a security review, case studies that name outcomes, and often a real application rather than a brochure. We do both here, and the veteran-owned certification is frequently the reason a supplier-diversity buyer takes the first meeting. Round Rock splits oddly here. If you sell to enterprise buyers the map barely matters, but for the clinics, gyms and restaurants serving the people who work at them it decides almost everything. The tournament and hospitality businesses around Dell Diamond take payment in a park one weekend and online the next, which is exactly where a single system stops being optional. County: Williamson County. Approximately 20 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Cedar Park, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/cedar-park Mobile-first websites, local SEO and ecommerce for Cedar Park businesses. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Start with a free website audit. Cedar Park sits twenty minutes northwest of our Austin base. Most of what we build here is for businesses selling to families who live nearby and decide on their phone. Cedar Park runs on household spend. Pediatric and dental practices, orthodontics, youth sports and activity programs, home services, veterinary clinics, restaurants and the retail around the HEB Center. There is also a quieter layer of light manufacturing and aerospace-adjacent engineering in the north of the city that sells nationally and needs something completely different from a storefront site. Two very different briefs in one city. A family-services business needs to load in under two seconds on a phone, show reviews above the fold, and make booking obvious. A manufacturer needs specification pages that a buyer three states away can evaluate. We do not use the same template for both. Pediatric practices, orthodontists and youth programs here get chosen from the map on a phone, usually by a parent with about ninety seconds and three tabs open. Activity programs, salons and clinics use it for booking as much as for payment, and the booking link is the part almost none of them have connected to their Google profile. County: Williamson County. Approximately 20 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Leander, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/leander Websites, WordPress and local SEO for Leander trades, home services and clinics. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit available. Leander has spent the last decade near the top of every fastest-growing-city list in the country. A lot of the businesses here have a website that was accurate three years and several thousand neighbours ago. Growth this fast creates a specific business mix: trades and home services chasing new construction, real estate, landscaping, pools, HVAC, plus the restaurants and clinics that follow rooftops. The Capital Metro rail terminus pulls some commuter-oriented business too. Most of it is demand that already exists and is simply going to whoever turns up first in a search. When demand is growing faster than you are, the website stops being a brochure and becomes a filter. The job is usually to get found for the specific service and suburb, then to qualify hard enough that you are not quoting jobs you do not want. That is service pages, a maintained Google Business Profile, and forms that ask the awkward questions early. In a town adding this many households a year, most of your future customers have never heard your name. They are picking a plumber from the map, not from a neighbour. A trade taking a deposit standing on a driveway needs it to work on one bar of signal and land in the same books as the office, not in a second system nobody reconciles. County: Williamson County. Approximately 25 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Liberty Hill, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/liberty-hill Websites and local SEO for Liberty Hill trades, builders and property services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit available. Liberty Hill is about half an hour northwest of us. It is also one of those places where the population arrived faster than the infrastructure, and business websites are part of the infrastructure that has not caught up. The business base here is still largely trades and land: builders, septic and well services, fencing, dirt work, ranch and property maintenance, plus the feed stores, restaurants and clinics on and around the old downtown. Many of these operations were built on knowing everyone. The problem is that the number of people to know went up several times over in a decade. The shift is from being known to being findable, and it is uncomfortable for businesses who have never had to market. What usually works is unglamorous: a site that loads fast, plainly states the services and the areas covered, shows real photographs of real jobs, and a Google Business Profile that is actually kept current. Liberty Hill is small enough that those three slots are genuinely winnable, and most of the businesses currently holding them have not touched a profile in years. Fencing crews, dirt work and septic services taking card in a field, where the alternative is chasing a check for six weeks and eating the float. County: Williamson County. Approximately 32 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Lakeway, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/lakeway Websites for Lakeway professional services, real estate, medical and luxury home businesses. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Lakeway is a short drive west of Austin, and the businesses here have a problem most do not: comparatively few customers, each one worth a great deal. The economy runs on high-value households. Real estate, wealth and financial advice, cosmetic and elective medical practices, golf and club services, marine and dock work, high-end home building and remodelling, and restaurants serving a discerning and fairly small resident base. Volume marketing is close to useless here. One additional client can be worth more than a thousand extra visitors. That flips the brief. The site is not a lead funnel, it is a credibility check performed by someone who already heard your name at a club or from a neighbour. It needs to look considered, load instantly, show real credentials, and make contacting you feel like a private conversation rather than a form submission into a void. Even here, where most work arrives by referral, the person who was referred still looks you up first. A neglected profile quietly undoes a good introduction. Med spas, clubs and marine services take deposits and bookings through it, and the experience of paying should match what the client thinks they are buying. County: Travis County. Approximately 22 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Bee Cave, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/bee-cave Fast, mobile-first websites and local SEO for Bee Cave retail, restaurants and professional services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Bee Cave is under twenty minutes from us, and it punches far above its resident population because of what it draws in from around it. The Hill Country Galleria anchors a retail, dining and professional services cluster that serves a catchment much wider than the city itself, reaching across Lakeway, Spicewood and west Austin. That means specialist retail, restaurants, medical and dental practices, salons and med spas, and professional firms, all competing for a customer who has real choice and no particular loyalty. Discovery here is almost entirely phone-based and often happens minutes before a decision. Somebody is in the car deciding where to eat, or comparing two dentists on their phone in a waiting room. What wins is a fast page, current hours, obvious directions, visible reviews and a booking or ordering path with no friction. Depth of content matters less than speed and clarity. This is a shopping centre decision made standing on the pavement. Two options on a phone, and the one with current photos and forty recent reviews gets walked into. Nearly every counter around the Galleria runs it. The gap is almost always inventory and online orders drifting away from what the register believes. County: Travis County. Approximately 17 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Lago Vista, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/lago-vista Websites and local SEO for Lago Vista rentals, marinas, restaurants and trades. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit. Lago Vista sits on the north shore of Lake Travis, about forty minutes from Austin, and its business calendar is shaped by the lake more than by anything else. Short-term rentals, marinas and boat services, real estate, restaurants and bars that live or die by weekend traffic, and the trades that maintain a large stock of second homes and vacation properties. It is a seasonal, weather-dependent economy, and lake levels have a direct effect on how busy everyone is in a given year. Seasonality changes what a website has to do. Demand arrives in concentrated bursts, often from people who have never been here and are deciding between the lake and somewhere else entirely. That puts the weight on photography, availability, straightforward booking, and pages that answer the practical questions a first-time visitor asks before committing a weekend. A visitor searching from the water has no local knowledge and nobody to ask. The map is not part of their shortlist, it is the entire shortlist. Marinas and rental operators take a deposit weeks ahead and the balance on the dock, and those two things belong in one place rather than two. County: Travis County. Approximately 32 miles from Austin. ## Web Design for Lake Travis Businesses URL: https://andpixels.com/lake-travis Websites and local SEO for Lake Travis marinas, venues, rentals and lakefront businesses across Lakeway, Bee Cave, Lago Vista and Spicewood. Lake Travis is an area rather than a city, and that is worth saying plainly: it covers Lakeway, Bee Cave, Lago Vista, Spicewood, Volente and Briarcliff, each with its own council, its own character and its own search results. What ties them together commercially is the water. Marinas and boat rental, waterfront restaurants and event venues, short-term rentals, dock builders and lake-specific trades, plus a real estate market where lakefront and lake-view are separate categories with separate buyers. Weekend and seasonal traffic drives most of it, and a low-water year is felt by every business on this list. Marketing across the whole lake is a different job from marketing in one town. Somebody searching for a venue does not care which municipality it sits in, but Google very much does. The usual answer is a strong page for the area and separate pages for the towns you genuinely operate in, rather than one page pretending to be everywhere. Visitors search the lake rather than the town, and Google answers that with a map. Whoever keeps their profile current turns up for the whole area, not just their own municipality. Venues taking booking deposits and bars taking card at a lakeside counter, usually on the same account and almost never reconciled against each other. County: Travis County. Approximately 25 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Dripping Springs, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/dripping-springs Websites for Dripping Springs venues, distilleries, breweries and local trades. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit available. Dripping Springs calls itself the Gateway to the Hill Country, and for a lot of businesses here that is the literal commercial model: people arrive from somewhere else, spend, and leave. The town has an unusual concentration of destination businesses. Wedding and event venues, distilleries and breweries, wineries, tasting rooms, and the photographers, caterers, florists and planners who work alongside them. Underneath that sits an ordinary local economy of trades, ranch services and clinics serving residents on large lots spread over a wide area. Two audiences who never overlap. A couple planning a wedding is researching for months from Houston or Dallas and comparing a dozen venues on photography and price transparency. A resident wants a plumber today. One site has to serve both without the second audience wading through wedding galleries to find a phone number. A couple planning a wedding from Houston starts with a map and a set of photographs. A venue with a stale profile never enters the conversation at all. Tasting rooms take card at the bar, deposits online and tickets at the gate. Three separate systems is how most of them start and why the numbers never agree. County: Hays County. Approximately 25 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Buda, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/buda Websites, local SEO and ecommerce for Buda retail, restaurants and home services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit available. Buda is fifteen miles south of Austin on the I-35 corridor, close enough that a kickoff meeting is a short drive and far enough that its businesses compete on their own terms. Two economies sit on top of each other here. Along the interstate there is retail and distribution built around traffic volume, anchored by big-box destinations that pull shoppers from a wide radius. Off it there is a historic Main Street and a residential base that has grown hard, supporting restaurants, clinics, home services and trades for a largely commuting population. Those two need opposite things. A destination retailer is competing for people already driving past and deciding where to stop, which is a hours-photos-and-directions problem. A home services business is competing with south Austin firms who will happily drive down, and wins by being unmistakably local and easy to reach after work. Buda is a decision made in a car. Somebody on the interstate working out whether to stop is looking at a map, your hours and your photographs, in that order. Counter service along the corridor, where a slow checkout is not an inconvenience, it is the next three people in line leaving. County: Hays County. Approximately 15 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Bastrop, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/bastrop Websites and local SEO for Bastrop hospitality, production services and trades. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Free website audit available. Bastrop is half an hour east of Austin and has one of the more interesting business mixes in Central Texas, because film production, river tourism and fast residential growth all landed in the same small town. The historic downtown and the Colorado River support a visitor economy of restaurants, lodging, antiques and outfitters. Film and television production has put real roots down in the county, which brings a supply chain of crew services, catering, equipment and location businesses that work project to project. Underneath it all, residential growth spilling east from Austin is feeding the usual trades and clinics. Project-based and visitor-based businesses both live on being found by people who are not local and have no prior relationship. A production coordinator sourcing a vendor and a family planning a weekend are doing the same thing: searching cold, judging fast, and moving on. Credibility has to be immediate, because there is no referral doing the work for you. Visitors coming out for the river or the downtown are searching cold, with no reason to trust anyone yet. The map is where that trust either starts or does not. Outfitters, downtown retail and the crew services around production all take card in places with unreliable signal, which is precisely where most setups fall over. County: Bastrop County. Approximately 30 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in San Marcos, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/san-marcos Websites and local SEO for San Marcos student-facing businesses, restaurants and river tourism. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. San Marcos runs on an academic calendar, and any business here that ignores that is fighting the town instead of using it. Texas State University dominates, with tens of thousands of students arriving and leaving on a fixed schedule. That drives student housing, bars and restaurants, fitness, salons, tattoo studios, phone repair and everything else aimed at a customer base that turns over almost completely every few years. Alongside it sits river tourism on the San Marcos River and a large outlet shopping draw pulling visitors off the interstate. Total customer turnover is the defining constraint. A loyal customer base three years deep is worth very little when most of it graduates. The businesses that do well rebuild awareness every August rather than assuming it carries over, and they are visible in exactly the places a new eighteen-year-old looks: maps, reviews, and social, not a brochure homepage. Several thousand people arrive each August knowing nobody and needing everything at once. Almost all of that search happens in the map, on a phone, within a fortnight. Bars, food and student services move high volumes of small card payments quickly, and on a Friday night the register is the bottleneck, not the kitchen. County: Hays County. Approximately 30 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in New Braunfels, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/new-braunfels Websites, booking and local SEO for New Braunfels tourism, restaurants and local services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. New Braunfels is about fifty miles from our Austin base, so we will not pretend to be down the road. What we bring is the work, and a drive that is entirely reasonable for the sessions that need a room. Few Texas towns this size pull as many visitors. The Comal and Guadalupe rivers, a major waterpark, the Gruene historic district and a German heritage calendar that culminates in Wurstfest bring in tourism revenue that dwarfs the resident population. On top of that sits one of the faster-growing residential bases in the state, with the restaurants, clinics, trades and breweries that follow it. A visitor economy is unforgiving about a specific set of details. Someone planning a weekend from Houston decides on photographs, availability and reviews, weeks ahead, on a phone. Someone deciding where to eat tonight needs hours that are correct. Getting those wrong costs bookings quietly, and most businesses never learn which ones they lost. Somebody planning a river weekend from Houston has never been here. They choose from a map, weeks ahead, working from photographs and review counts. Tubing outfitters, Gruene retail and restaurants handle seasonal volume where a slow checkout is measurable in hours of lost trading, not in irritation. County: Comal County. Approximately 50 miles from Austin. ## Web Design & Development in Seguin, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/seguin B2B websites, technical SEO and custom development for Seguin manufacturers and industrial suppliers. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Seguin is one of the few towns on this list where most of the serious web work is business-to-business rather than local lead generation. Seguin has a genuine industrial base, with manufacturing and distribution operations that sell nationally and buy from each other. Texas Lutheran University sits in the middle of it, agriculture and pecans remain part of the identity, and the Guadalupe River supports a smaller visitor trade. The result is a town where a lot of companies have customers who have never set foot in Guadalupe County. Industrial buyers behave nothing like consumers. They arrive from a search for a part number or a capability, they need specifications, tolerances, certifications and lead times, and they will disqualify you in seconds for a site that cannot answer a technical question. Pretty is irrelevant. Findable, specific and credible is everything. Seguin is the exception on this list. An industrial buyer sourcing a capability is not using the map at all, though your retail and trade neighbours very much are. Where Seguin does use it, it is the retail and service side of town rather than the plant floor, usually sitting alongside invoicing that lives somewhere else entirely. County: Guadalupe County. Approximately 55 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Horseshoe Bay, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/horseshoe-bay Websites for Horseshoe Bay resort, real estate, property management and luxury home services. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Horseshoe Bay is a resort community on Lake LBJ, roughly an hour northwest of Austin, and the businesses here serve a customer with money, time and very high expectations. The economy is built around resort and golf, second homes and retirement. Real estate at the upper end, property management for owners who are elsewhere most of the year, marine services, high-end home building and remodelling, private clubs, medical and wellness practices, and hospitality serving both residents and visiting guests. This is not a volume market and treating it like one insults the customer. The audience is small, affluent, largely older, and makes decisions on trust and appearance rather than on price comparison. That means restraint in design, genuine credentials on display, text that is comfortably readable without squinting, and a contact route that feels personal rather than automated. Residents already know you. Prospective buyers, visiting guests and new owners do not, and they arrive through a map exactly like everybody else. Property management, clubs and marine services billing owners who are elsewhere most of the year, where a card on file matters far more than a till. County: Llano County. Approximately 50 miles from Austin. ## Web Design & Development in San Antonio, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/san-antonio Web apps, SaaS and enterprise websites for San Antonio healthcare, defence and technology businesses. Certified Disabled Veteran-Owned, based in Austin. We are in Austin, eighty miles up I-35, and San Antonio has no shortage of its own agencies. So the honest version: hire us for the work, not for the postcode. San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas and its economy is nothing like Austin. Military is enormous, with Joint Base San Antonio anchoring a deep contractor and supplier network. Healthcare is the other pillar, concentrated around the medical centre. Add a serious cybersecurity cluster, large-scale manufacturing, and a tourism economy built on the River Walk and the missions, and you get a market with real enterprise budgets and real enterprise procurement. For local storefront searches, a San Antonio firm with a Bexar County address will beat us in the map results and we are not going to claim otherwise. Where the distance stops mattering is enterprise and product work: a portal, a SaaS product, a system integration, or a site that has to clear a security review. And for defence and public-sector buyers with supplier diversity targets, being a certified Disabled Veteran-Owned subcontractor is often the reason the call happens at all. We will not win the San Antonio map from Austin and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If local search is your whole model, hire in Bexar County. If the problem is engineering, keep reading. Across a metro this size it runs everything from a truck at a park to a clinic front desk. The integration problem turns out to be the same one at every scale. County: Bexar County. Approximately 80 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Fredericksburg, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/fredericksburg Websites, booking and ecommerce for Fredericksburg wineries, lodging and Main Street retail. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Fredericksburg is about seventy miles west of us, and almost every business here is selling to somebody who does not live there. This is one of the strongest destination economies in Texas for a town its size. The Hill Country wine trail brings tasting rooms and vineyards, Main Street supports a dense run of independent retail and restaurants, and lodging runs from bed and breakfasts to a large stock of vacation rentals. German heritage, the Pacific War museum and seasonal peach farms give the town a set of reasons to visit that no marketing budget could manufacture. When customers travel to reach you, the website is the entire top of the funnel. Somebody in Dallas is choosing between four wineries and three places to stay, weeks ahead, on a phone, working from photographs and reviews. Availability has to be visible, booking has to be one step, and everything has to load quickly on Hill Country signal that is often poor. Somebody choosing between four tasting rooms from Dallas is working from a map, photographs and reviews. Being absent from that is being absent from the trip. Tasting rooms take card in a barn with poor signal, Main Street takes it at a counter, and lodging takes deposits months ahead. Usually three disconnected setups. County: Gillespie County. Approximately 70 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Temple, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/temple Accessible, secure websites for Temple medical practices, distribution and local business. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Temple is about seventy miles north of Austin, and it is a healthcare town first. That shapes what the web work here actually has to do. A major hospital system anchors the local economy, and around it sits the ecosystem that follows serious medicine: specialist practices, therapy and rehabilitation, medical devices and supply, staffing, and the professional services that support all of it. Temple also carries a real distribution and manufacturing base, helped by rail and interstate access, plus a college and the retail and trades serving a steady resident population. Healthcare-adjacent work has constraints most local web projects do not. Anything touching patient information needs to be treated carefully from the first conversation rather than patched at the end, accessibility stops being optional when your users are unwell or elderly, and the tone has to be reassuring without making claims that a regulator or a compliance officer will object to. A patient looking for a specialist or a therapy practice starts in the map, and often they are searching on behalf of a parent. Correct hours and directions stop being a detail. Practices taking copays at a front desk, where the payment is the last thing a patient experiences and the bit they remember describing to someone else. County: Bell County. Approximately 70 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Killeen, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/killeen Websites and local SEO for Killeen businesses serving military families. Certified Disabled Veteran-Owned agency based in Austin. Free website audit. Killeen sits beside one of the largest military installations in the country, and that single fact shapes almost every business decision made here. We are a certified Disabled Veteran-Owned agency, so this is a market we understand from the inside. The population turns over constantly as families rotate in and out on assignment. That creates a permanent stream of new customers for housing, storage, vehicle services, restaurants, barbers, childcare and every other service a family needs in their first fortnight somewhere unfamiliar. A large share of local businesses are themselves veteran-owned or military-spouse-owned, often run alongside a deployment schedule. Constant turnover inverts the usual advice. You are not building a loyal base over a decade, you are being discovered again every few months by people with no local knowledge and no one to ask. Being obviously findable, plainly priced and visibly trusted matters far more than brand-building. Saying clearly that you are veteran-owned, or that you understand a PCS timeline, is not decoration here. It is the qualifier. A family arriving next month has nobody to ask. They will search for a barber, a mechanic and a dentist inside their first fortnight and take the three the map hands them. Businesses serving a population that rotates need card, contactless and no friction at all. Nobody arriving on a PCS is writing a check to a stranger. County: Bell County. Approximately 65 miles from Austin. ## Web Design for Fort Hood Area Businesses URL: https://andpixels.com/fort-hood Websites for Fort Hood area contractors, veteran-owned businesses and family services. Certified Disabled Veteran-Owned agency based in Austin, TX. Fort Hood is a military installation rather than a city, so this page is about the businesses and contractors working around it. We are a certified Disabled Veteran-Owned agency, which in this market is usually the first thing worth saying. The commercial activity around the post falls into a few groups: defence contractors and subcontractors, service businesses in Killeen and Copperas Cove serving soldiers and their families, veteran-owned and military-spouse-owned small businesses, and the transition support, training and VA-adjacent services that grow up wherever a large installation sits. Two very different audiences. A contractor needs a site that survives procurement scrutiny, states capabilities and certifications plainly, and does not look like it was built from a template on a weekend. A family-facing business needs to be found fast by someone who arrived last week. Being certified Disabled Veteran-Owned helps us with both, in the first case as a subcontracting partner and in the second as somebody who does not need the culture explained. Family-facing businesses around the post live or die in the map, because their customer arrived last week and knows nobody. Contractors are a different story entirely. Service businesses here take card from customers who are new in town and paying cautiously, where speed and looking legitimate matter about equally. County: Bell County. Approximately 70 miles from Austin. ## Web Design in Lampasas, TX URL: https://andpixels.com/lampasas Websites, WordPress and Google Business Profile setup for Lampasas small businesses and trades. Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned. Lampasas is a small Hill Country town about seventy-five miles from Austin, and the competitive picture here is the opposite of everywhere else on this list. Ranching and agriculture, the trades and suppliers that serve them, a compact courthouse square of independent retail and restaurants, and some economic pull from the Fort Hood area to the east. Businesses are small, often long-established, and frequently have either no website or one built a decade ago and never touched since. Almost nobody here is competing on search, which makes it unusually cheap to win. A single well-built page for each real service, an accurate Google Business Profile and a handful of recent reviews can put a business at the top of local results in weeks rather than years. That is not true in Austin and it is worth taking advantage of while it lasts. This is the cheapest map on the entire list to win. Very few Lampasas businesses are competing for those three slots, and a maintained profile can take one in weeks. A main street business taking card without signing up to a monthly contract, which is usually the whole reason it is Square rather than something heavier. County: Lampasas County. Approximately 75 miles from Austin. ## Articles ### Your Google Business Profile Is Outselling Your Website. Is It Any Good? URL: https://andpixels.com/blog/google-business-profile-management-why-it-matters Published: 2026-06-20T12:00:00.000Z There is a good chance the most-visited page about your business is one you never designed. It is not your homepage. It is your Google Business Profile: the panel that shows up when someone searches your name, or your category and a city. It carries your hours, your photos, your reviews, the directions button, and the call button. For a local business, it is usually the first impression and often the only one. People decide whether to call you from inside Google, before your website ever loads. So the real question is not whether you have a profile. You do. The question is whether it is any good. ## The profile is the storefront now Roughly 46% of all Google searches carry local intent, and about 76% of people who run a local search visit a business within 24 hours. That is not browsing. That is a buying decision happening in real time, and your profile is the thing being judged. A neglected profile is not neutral. It is a wrong phone number that sends calls nowhere. It is a photo from three years ago. It is a one-star review sitting at the top with no reply. It is a competitor in the map pack three spots above you because they post every week and you have not touched yours since you claimed it. None of that is a small cosmetic problem. It is lost revenue, quietly, every day. ## What the data says separates the two We pulled the benchmarks so you do not have to. Same business, same spend, two profiles. The one that is complete and managed pulls ahead on every metric that matters: - Customers are **2.7x more likely to consider a business reputable** when it has a complete profile. - A complete profile is **about 70% more likely to drive a location visit** and **50% more likely to lead to a purchase**. - Profiles with **10 or more current photos see roughly double the engagement**, meaning calls and messages, compared to the average. - Businesses that **respond to reviews get about 19% more website click-throughs** than those that ignore them. Notice the pattern. None of these wins come from a one-time setup. They come from a profile that stays current: fresh photos, answered reviews, regular posts, accurate everything. Completeness gets you in the game. Activity keeps you winning. ## The part almost nobody is optimizing for yet Here is the shift most local businesses have not caught up to. People are not only searching anymore. They are asking. When someone asks an AI assistant for the best option near them, the assistant does not read ten blue links. It pulls from structured local data, and your Google Business Profile is one of its primary sources. That is what AEO and GEO are about: Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization. Optimizing so you show up not just in the map pack, but in the answer an assistant generates. Most of your competitors have no idea whether they appear there at all. That gap is exactly where there is ground to take. If you want to see where you stand right now, run your site through Revlr at [revlr.ai](https://revlr.ai). It audits across 10 categories: eight free ones (performance, SEO, accessibility, security, best practices, mobile, and the two almost nobody else checks, AEO and GEO) plus two premium ones (UX and content). Running the free audit takes seconds, no card required. ## Why we built a service around it Keeping a profile sharp is not hard work. It is constant work. Someone has to write the posts, answer every review in a voice that sounds like you, refresh the photos on a schedule, watch what the competition is doing, and read the monthly numbers to decide what to change next. Most owners know this and still never get to it, because it is the kind of task that is always less urgent than whatever is on fire today. So we made it our job. &Pixels now [manages Google Business Profiles end to end](/google-business-profile-management). Two ways in: **Setup and Optimization** is a one-time engagement at $497 per location. We claim and verify the profile, audit it, build out every field and category, load a starter set of photos and posts, set up your review-request flow, run a core AEO and GEO pass, and hand it back documented so your team can keep it current. **The managed retainer** is for businesses that would rather never think about it again. Essential is $397 per month per location and keeps the profile current and defended: posts, review responses in your voice, Q&A, quarterly photo refreshes, AEO and GEO maintenance, and a monthly report. Pro is $597 per month per location and adds the work that climbs the map pack: weekly posting, competitor monitoring, active review-generation campaigns, ongoing citation building, and rank tracking. Additional locations are $297 per month each. We are an Austin-based, certified Disabled Veteran-Owned design and development studio. We have been building since 2010. The people who manage your profile are the same people who can fix the website it points to, so your local presence stays consistent everywhere it shows up. No handoffs, no junior reshuffles, no offshore surprises. ## Where to start If you are not sure how your profile is doing, that is the honest and common starting point. Run a free audit at [revlr.ai](https://revlr.ai) to see your local presence scored, or [start a conversation with us](/start-a-project) and we will pull up your profile, show you what is leaking customers, and map the fix on a short call. Your storefront on Google is open right now, whether you are tending it or not. The only choice is whether it is working for you. ### Introducing &Pixels Labs: We're Building Products Now URL: https://andpixels.com/blog/introducing-andpixels-labs Published: 2026-03-28T12:00:00.000Z We've been building things for clients for a long time. Since 2010, the &Pixels team has designed and developed digital products for founders, marketers, enterprise teams, and everyone in between. We've seen what works, what doesn't, and, most importantly, where the gaps are. Some of those gaps we fixed for individual clients. Others we kept seeing over and over, across industries, across company sizes, across every type of engagement. The kind of gaps that deserve a real solution, not a workaround. That's why we built &Pixels Labs. --- ## What Is &Pixels Labs? &Pixels Labs is the product arm of &Pixels. It's where our team turns the patterns we see in client work into standalone tools, built to the same standard as everything else we ship. These aren't experiments or side projects. They are production-grade products designed by the same team, built with the same stack, held to the same bar we hold every client engagement to. The difference is who they're built for: everyone. --- ## The First Product: Revlr The first product out of &Pixels Labs is Revlr, an AI-powered website audit platform. If you've ever run a Lighthouse audit and stared blankly at the results, Revlr was built for you. Most audit tools were built for developers. Raw scores, cryptic flags, walls of technical jargon. Useful if you have an engineering background. Useless if you don't. Revlr closes that gap. Powered by Signal AI, Revlr scans your site across eight categories, including two that most tools don't cover: AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Every finding gets a plain-language explanation for business owners and technical detail for developers, all in the same report. The free audit is live now. No credit card. No account. Just drop in your URL. The Founders Lifetime Deal is a one-time payment of $299 at [revlr.ai/early-access](https://revlr.ai/early-access), capped at the first 100 buyers. No subscription. No renewal. --- ## What's Coming From the Lab We're not stopping at Revlr. &Pixels Labs is built to be a continuous output of the agency's experience. Every product we ship comes from a real problem we saw, solved inadequately by existing tools. The next product is already in the works. If you want to know when it drops before everyone else, get on the list at [andpixels.com/labs](https://andpixels.com/labs). --- ## We Build Custom Products Too One more thing worth saying out loud: this is a service we offer to clients. If you have an internal tool, a SaaS idea, or a product concept that needs to be designed, built, and launched, this is exactly what the &Pixels team does. Every day. &Pixels Labs just happens to be what that looks like when we do it for ourselves. Ready to build something? Start at [andpixels.com/start-a-project](https://andpixels.com/start-a-project). --- Built by &Pixels, a veteran-owned design and development agency in Austin, TX. URL: https://andpixels.com/blog/we-built-a-business-to-clean-up-ai-generated-code Published: 2026-02-16T10:00:00.000Z ## How &Pixels went from building digital products to launching Unvibed, and why we believe the future belongs to teams that know when to vibe and when to stop. We have a confession to make. We use AI. Every day. In our design workflows, in our engineering pipelines, in our client communications, in our internal operations. We are not anti-AI. We are aggressively, strategically pro-AI. We also just launched an entire brand dedicated to fixing the damage AI has caused. That's not a contradiction. That's the point. --- ## Who We Are (and Why This Matters) &Pixels is a product-focused digital agency. We design, build, ship, monitor, and iterate digital products for startups, small businesses, and agencies. We pair product-forward thinking with customer-first UX, expert engineering, and AI automations, but only where they actually move the needle. We've been in the business of turning ideas into working digital experiences since 2010. Started building one-off WordPress sites and designing mobile apps for startup clients. Over the years the agency evolved into a full product-focused digital studio with 30 combined years of experience across design and development. We work as dedicated extensions of our clients' teams. We move fast, with initial concepts in a few days. Our task queue is unlimited. Add as many requests as you need and we work through them based on the hours you purchase each cycle. True partnership, not just deliverables. That proximity to real products, real users, and real business outcomes is exactly why we saw what was coming. Starting in early 2025, our inbound started changing. The requests weren't "build us something new." They were "fix what we already built." And when we opened the hood, we kept finding the same thing. AI-generated code. AI-generated design. No architecture. No documentation. No tests. No system. Just prompts and prayers. The products looked finished. They weren't. They were hallucinations wearing a good UI. So we built Unvibed. --- ## What Happened in 2025 In February 2025, Andrej Karpathy coined the term "vibe coding," describing a workflow where you fully surrender to AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Base44, and Google Gemini. You prompt, you accept, you ship. You don't read the code. You don't need to understand it. It works. Move on. By March, it was trending on Merriam-Webster. By mid-year, every AI tool in the market was leaning into the concept, and GitHub reported that over 46% of all code on the platform was AI-generated. By October, Google had added "vibe coding" to AI Studio. By December, Collins English Dictionary named it the Word of the Year. That 46% number isn't the problem. The problem is what percentage of that code was reviewed, tested, and understood by the person who shipped it. Based on what we're seeing in our audits, that number is disturbingly low. In less than twelve months, the tech industry collectively decided that understanding your own software was optional. For founders and non-technical teams, this felt like liberation. You could go from idea to MVP in a weekend. No engineers. No designers. No overhead. Just a credit card and a chat window. For agencies like ours, who live inside the full lifecycle of digital products and have 30 combined years of experience watching what works and what collapses, we watched it unfold with a very specific feeling: the same feeling a structural engineer gets when someone shows them a beautiful house built without a foundation. It's impressive. It's also going to collapse. --- ## The Prototype Was Magic. The Product Is a Haunted House. When we started auditing these products, the patterns became clear fast. Here's what's actually living inside most vibe-coded software: - 50,000 lines of code where 30,000 do nothing. Functions calling functions calling functions that return nothing. Dead code everywhere. Nobody knows what's load-bearing and what's scaffolding the AI forgot to remove. - Security that exists only as a concept. We reviewed one codebase where authentication was handled entirely client-side. Any user could give themselves admin access to the entire platform by editing a single browser value. Including customer data. The founder had no idea until we showed them. That app was processing payments. - Infrastructure costs that scale with inefficiency, not users. One startup we audited had 47 API calls firing on initial page load. 19 were completely redundant. Their monthly cloud and API bill was \$12,400 before they had 500 active users. After cleanup, it dropped to \$2,900. That's not optimization. That's triage. - Zero documentation. Zero tests. Zero institutional knowledge. The AI didn't write docs. Neither did the person prompting it. The only architecture map is in the founder's head, and it's wrong. Here's the uncomfortable truth that underpins all of this: AI is incredible at generating output. It is terrible at owning consequences. And businesses don't fail because of output. They fail because of consequences. The edge case that corrupts user data. The security flaw that leaks payment info. The architectural decision that makes scaling impossible. AI doesn't think about those things. It doesn't think at all. It generates. Thinking is your job. And if nobody on your team is doing that job, you don't have a product. You have a liability. --- ## The Design Side Went Through the Same Bender Here's what people aren't talking about enough, and as an agency with deep roots in both design and development, we feel obligated to say it: the design side of your product went through the exact same cycle. Midjourney hero images. Figma Make layouts generated from a sentence. ChatGPT and Claude writing your UX copy. AI-generated brand systems shipped without a single designer asking "does this actually work?" Here's what we keep finding: - Brand systems with no internal logic. Colors with no system. Typography with no scale. Spacing based on whatever the AI felt like that day. It looks "good enough" on one screen and collapses on every other. - UI that's all surface and no structure. Beautiful mockups with no information hierarchy, no accessibility considerations, no responsive logic, and no design tokens. It's a screenshot pretending to be a product. - Frankenstein aesthetics. Midjourney generated the images. Figma Make generated the layouts. ChatGPT wrote half the copy. Claude wrote the other half. Three different tools, four different design languages, zero unification. Your app looks like it was designed by a committee of bots. Because it was. You look at it and see "professional." We look at it and see a system that can't scale, can't be maintained, and doesn't solve your user's actual problem. Same disease as the code. Different organ. --- ## We Help Teams Vibe. And We Help Them Unvibe. Here's where our philosophy lives, and why we think it matters. At &Pixels, we are not in the business of telling people to stop using AI. That would be stupid. AI is one of the most powerful tools our industry has ever had access to. We use it ourselves. We integrate it into client products. We build AI automations that save our clients real time and real money. But we use AI the way a skilled carpenter uses a nail gun. With precision, with intention, and with a clear understanding of what it can and cannot do. We don't hand the nail gun to someone who has never framed a wall and say "go build a house." That distinction is the entire reason Unvibed exists. --- ### When to vibe: - Rapid prototyping and concept validation. - Generating boilerplate and scaffolding that a skilled developer will review and refine. - Accelerating design exploration with AI tools, then building a real system from the best outputs. - Automating repetitive tasks that don't require judgment or nuance. - Drafting copy, content, and documentation that a human will edit and finalize. ### When to unvibe: - When your AI-generated MVP needs to become a real product. - When your codebase has grown beyond what anyone on your team can actually read. - When your design system is a patchwork of AI outputs with no underlying logic. - When your cloud costs are scaling with inefficiency, not users. - When you're about to raise funding and your repo is a liability in due diligence. - When you tried to hire a real engineer and they looked at your code and ghosted you. The line between vibing and needing to unvibe is the line between drafting and shipping. Between prototype and product. Between "it works on my machine" and "it works for 100,000 users at 3 AM on a holiday weekend." Most teams don't know where that line is. That's what we're here for. --- ## AI Didn't Kill Developers. It Created Forensic Engineering. We want to be very clear about this because the discourse around vibe coding tends to collapse into two camps: "AI is going to replace all developers" and "AI-generated code is garbage." Neither is true. Both are lazy. The reality is more nuanced, and more interesting. AI-generated code is probabilistic. It works most of the time, under most conditions, with most inputs. For a demo, that's fine. For a prototype, that's often fine. For a product that handles real users, real money, and real data, "most of the time" is a ticking bomb. AI-generated design has the same problem. It can produce beautiful surfaces. It cannot produce systems. It can generate a screen that looks professional. It cannot generate a design language that scales across platforms, adapts to edge cases, and solves real user problems. The missing ingredient in both cases is judgment. Human judgment. The kind that comes from experience, from understanding trade-offs, from knowing what questions to ask, and from having been burned enough times to see the fire before it starts. That judgment is what &Pixels sells. Whether we're building something new or fixing something broken, the value we bring is the ability to make the decisions AI can't. --- ## Dry January Is Not Engineering Discipline One thing we've been watching closely: some founders are starting to sense the hangover. They're pulling back slightly. Reviewing AI output more carefully. Maybe adding a linting step. Maybe hiring a junior developer to "oversee" the AI code. They think they're sobering up. They're not. They're doing Dry January. Dry January is when you stop drinking for a month, feel virtuous about it, and go right back to your old habits by February. In this context, it's a founder who panics after a production outage, slows down on prompting for a week, then quietly goes right back to shipping unreviewed AI output because the board wants a new feature by Friday. Then comes Damp February. "We'll still use AI for everything, but we'll be more careful." You glance at the code before you merge. You call it rigor. It's not rigor. It's switching from tequila to wine and calling it moderation. Real sobriety means something different. It means having humans on your team who can actually read, write, debug, and architect the systems your business depends on. We call it sober engineering. The deliberate, human-led practice of using AI as an accelerant while maintaining the architectural rigor, testing discipline, and design systems thinking that make software actually work. Sober engineering isn't slower. It's just not reckless. That's the foundation of everything we do at &Pixels, and it's the entire reason Unvibed exists. --- ## Why We Created Unvibed as Its Own Brand We could have just added "AI code rescue" as a service line on the &Pixels website. We thought about it. But the more cleanup work we did, the more we realized this problem deserved its own identity. Here's why. The founders who need Unvibed are often in a specific emotional state. They're stressed. They're embarrassed. They built something they were proud of, and now they're finding out it's held together with duct tape and hallucinated logic. The last thing they want is to feel judged. Unvibed meets them where they are. The branding is direct. The tone is honest. The message is simple: the party is over, the hangover is here, and we're the ones who fix it. No judgment. Just the cleanup. &Pixels is the builder. Unvibed is the fixer. Same team. Same humans. Same standards. Different entry point depending on what you need. If you're starting something new and want it built right from day one, that's &Pixels. We'll be your dedicated design and engineering team. We'll move fast. We'll work through your task queue based on the hours you invest each cycle. And we'll be true partners in your product's success. If you already shipped something and it's falling apart, that's Unvibed. We'll audit it, stabilize it, or rebuild it. We'll be honest about what's salvageable and what's not. And we'll get you to a place where real engineers and designers can maintain what you have. Either way, you get the same thing: humans who type, humans who think, and humans who build things that survive. --- ## The People You Fired Are the Ones You Need One of the things we wrote about on the Unvibed blog is how vibe coding didn't kill designers and developers. It changed what the job looks like. And it raised the bar on what "skilled" means. Designers in the post-vibe era aren't just pushing pixels. They're being asked to: - Audit and rebuild AI-generated design systems that have no underlying logic. - Build component libraries and design tokens that actually scale, because Figma Make outputs and Midjourney assets can't self-organize. - Make critical UX decisions that require empathy, user research, and judgment. Things AI cannot do. - Create the system behind the surface. The part AI always skips. Developers in the post-vibe era aren't just writing code. They're being asked to: - Forensically debug codebases no human wrote. Whether it came from Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, or Base44, this is a new and uniquely brutal skill. - Refactor AI-generated spaghetti into maintainable architecture. Translating "robot stream of consciousness" into actual software. - Make judgment calls about security, scalability, and infrastructure that require real experience. - Write the tests, docs, and guardrails that AI never bothers with. At &Pixels, our team has adapted to this reality. Our UX designers are fluent in AI-generated design triage. Our senior engineers can read a Cursor-generated or Lovable-generated codebase and tell you in an hour what's real and what's a ghost. Our architects can take a vibe-coded MVP and draw you a roadmap from "barely holding together" to "ready to scale." This isn't a pivot for us. It's an expansion. We still build from scratch. We still ship new products. We still move fast and partner deeply. But now we also meet clients where they are, even if where they are is a codebase that's on fire. --- ## The Invoice Is Here. And It's Compounding. Whether you're a client of ours or not, here's what we believe every team should know right now. 1. AI is a tool, not a team member. Use it to accelerate. Use it to explore. Use it to automate the tedious stuff. Do not use it to replace the judgment, experience, and accountability of skilled humans. 2. The prototype is not the product. Vibe coding can get you to an MVP fast. Celebrate that. Then immediately start planning the transition from "prompted" to "engineered." The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets. We've seen it go from a manageable \$130k stabilization to a \$500k full rewrite simply because the team waited too long. 3. Design systems matter more than ever. When AI can generate a hundred screens in an afternoon, the differentiator isn't the screens. It's the system behind them. Invest in design tokens, component libraries, and real information architecture. It's the only way to scale. 4. Hire for judgment, not speed. The value of a senior designer or engineer was never their typing speed. It's their ability to make decisions. About trade-offs, edge cases, user behavior, technical debt, and long-term maintainability. That value just went up. 5. Know when to vibe and when to unvibe. There's a time for speed and experimentation, and there's a time for rigor and architecture. The teams that win will be the ones who know which mode they're in and act accordingly. 6. Understand the real math. You saved \$80k by skipping the senior engineer and the real designer. Now your cleanup costs \$130k minimum. One of our audit clients was burning \$12,400/month on cloud and API costs with fewer than 500 users. After cleanup: \$2,900. Another had authentication so weak that any user could give themselves admin access to the entire platform. That app was processing payments. The cost of not having skilled humans isn't theoretical. It's compounding daily. --- ## What Comes Next The AI hangover is real, and it's going to get worse before it gets better. More vibe-coded products will hit production. More will break. More founders will realize that the \$80k they saved on engineering is now a six-figure cleanup bill. But on the other side of the hangover, something good is emerging. Teams are getting smarter about how they use AI. The bar for what "skilled" means is rising. The demand for real craftsmanship in design and engineering is coming back, not in spite of AI but because of it. AI lowered the barrier to starting. It did not lower the cost of finishing. The real competitive advantage in 2026 won't be prompting faster. It will be understanding deeper. At &Pixels, we're here for all of it. The building. The fixing. The partnership. The long game. We've been at this for 30 combined years across design and development. We'll be here for the next 30. If you're starting something new, let's build it right from the start. If you're sitting on something that's already breaking, let's fix it before the next outage. Either way, we don't judge. We just get to work. --- Start a project with &Pixels → [andpixels.com](https://andpixels.com) Get your code sober with Unvibed → [unvibed.com](https://unvibed.com) --- &Pixels. We've been building digital products for clients since 2010. WordPress sites. React apps. Mobile apps. E-commerce platforms. AI integrations. You name it, we've shipped it. But our own website? It ran on WordPress. For years. With 18 plugins. Security plugins. Caching plugins. Backup plugins. SEO plugins. Form plugins. Page builder plugins. Contact plugins. And a few we'd forgotten we even had. Then we migrated. Next.js. Supabase. Vercel. Zero plugins. And the site is faster, cheaper, and easier to maintain. Here's why we did it, what we lost, and what we gained. --- ## The Plugin Problem WordPress is powerful because of its ecosystem. Install a plugin, get a feature. Need caching? Install a caching plugin. Need backups? Install a backup plugin. Need better SEO? Install an SEO plugin. The problem isn't any single plugin. It's the accumulation. Each one adds: - **Attack surface.** More code, more dependencies, more things that can break or get exploited. - **Update fatigue.** Plugins update. WordPress updates. PHP updates. You spend more time maintaining than building. - **Hidden complexity.** You don't own the code. When something breaks, you're debugging someone else's black box. - **Performance tax.** Even with caching, you're still loading a database, a theme, and a pile of plugin logic on every request. We're not anti-WordPress. We still build WordPress sites for clients when it's the right fit. But for our own agency site—a relatively static marketing site with a blog, contact forms, and a few dynamic features—WordPress plus 18 plugins was overkill. We were eating our own dog food, but the dog food had gotten stale. --- ## What We Replaced We rebuilt the site with: - **Next.js** for the frontend. React, server components, static generation where it makes sense. - **Supabase** for auth, database, and any dynamic data. Managed, scalable, no plugins. - **Vercel** for hosting. Automatic deploys from Git. Edge functions if we need them. - **Markdown** for blog posts. Stored in the repo. No database, no CMS. Just files. The blog, the services pages, the about page, the contact form—all of it lives in code we control. When we want to change something, we change the code. No plugin settings. No database migrations. No mystery updates breaking things at 2 AM. --- ## What We Fired We didn't just remove WordPress. We removed 18 plugins that had accumulated over the years: - Security suites (firewall, malware scanning, login hardening) - Caching layers (page cache, object cache, CDN integration) - Backup tools (database and file backups) - SEO plugins (meta tags, sitemaps, schema) - Form builders (contact forms, lead capture) - Page builders (layout and design) Some of these we replaced with purpose-built code. SEO is handled in our Next.js metadata and structured data. Forms go through our own API. Caching is handled by Vercel's edge network. Backups? The entire site is in Git. If we need to restore, we redeploy. The rest we didn't need at all. We simplified the requirements and then built for those requirements—not for the generic WordPress use case. --- ## Cost and Maintenance Before migration: - Hosting - SSL (sometimes bundled, sometimes not) - Premium security plugin - Premium backup plugin - Premium SEO plugin - Time spent on plugin updates, compatibility checks, and occasional breakage After migration: - Vercel free tier (more than enough for our traffic) - Supabase free tier - SSL and CDN included - Updates are "git push." No plugin dashboards. No compatibility surprises. The real savings aren't just dollar amounts. They're in reduced cognitive load. We know exactly what our site does and how it works. When something breaks, we can debug it. When we want a new feature, we build it. No plugin hunting. No vendor lock-in. No surprise deprecations. --- ## Sober Engineering, Applied to Ourselves We talk a lot about sober engineering—using AI and modern tools as accelerants while keeping architectural rigor. The same philosophy applies to our own stack. We didn't migrate because WordPress is bad. We migrated because our specific use case didn't need WordPress's flexibility. We needed speed, simplicity, and full ownership. Next.js and Supabase give us that. If you're running a content-heavy site with multiple editors, complex workflows, or a lot of third-party integrations, WordPress might still be the right choice. But if you're a small team with a marketing site and a blog? Consider whether you need 18 plugins—or whether you need a lean stack you can fully understand and control. --- ## The Bottom Line We fired 18 plugins. Nobody got hurt. The site is faster. The bills are lower. The maintenance burden is lighter. And we're walking the walk: building with the kind of stack we recommend to clients who want clarity, performance, and control. If you're thinking about migrating off WordPress—or simplifying any part of your stack—we're happy to help. We've done it for ourselves. We can do it for you. --- Start a project with &Pixels → [andpixels.com](https://andpixels.com/start-a-project)
